Photogrammetry

There are times when the only documentation of a collision scene is a roll of film. Photogrammetry, the science of obtaining reliable measurements from photographs, is an invaluable tool in these situations.

PAR personnel can recreate collision scenes from existing photos, depending on the quality and number of photographs. More importantly, evidence that was not collected and no longer exists can be reliably placed in relationship to real-world measurements.
